Sally Hall
Sally Hall is an artist, wife and mum from West Yorkshire. Previously in ‘9 to 5’ office based employment, her experiences through the pandemic caused her to reflect on her work-life choices, make changes to rebalance the scales, and start pursuing her dream of spreading much needed smiles through her uplifting art.
Having spent nearly twenty years working as a designer in the textile industry for Yorkshire mills, pre pandemic life was the familiar juggle for a full time working family with young children; it felt like a constant sprint. Then covid hit adding home schooling and never ending bursting bubbles to the mix. Like many Sally felt first hand the stresses of lockdown and saw the impact it had on herself and her family. Painting became her escape.
This pastime flourished and has become her passion; she launched her brand ‘Inspired By Duke’ and began taking commission pet portraits and creating original art in 2021.
These experiences led Sally to take stock and make some brave changes. Deciding to end her office job, she now divides her time between making colourful and charming animal artwork, and enjoying raising her two children.
Sally says: “My children are my motivation to bring calm and balance into our lives, as well as colour and smiles.”
Sally’s original art explores different animal species and their unique characters and interactions through her colour use and varied brushstrokes.
“I strive to provide the viewer with an impression of the subjects’ personality, their unique kindred bonds, and create art which will bring people enjoyment,” she says.
