The Three Brothers & The William McCann
This painting was inspired by the story behind the famous, recently restored coble that resides in Bridlington Harbour. Three Brothers is an historic 1912 sailing coble, built in Bridlington by Baker and Percy Siddall as a fishing vessel and for tourist trips. In 2013 it was totally restored by local boat builder John Clarkson and Joe Gelsthorpe and sails regularly in Bridlington Bay. The William McCann in the background is a Hull fishing smack built in 1884.
